A celebrated leader in the classroom and beyond, she was named the 2020 Teacher of the Year. Dr. Taja is widely recognized for establishing a robust framework for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within the SUHSD, where she has served as an outstanding teacher leader.
In 2024, she earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice, a milestone that solidified her fully developed critical consciousness. As a "Fierce Advocate, Educator, and Sis," Dr. Taja is dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers and empowering others to lead with authenticity and purpose.

Trameka’s journey of “becoming” began when she became a mother. Raising a Black girl who watched her every move, Trameka realized early on that her daughter would learn how to navigate the world through her mother’s actions. This responsibility fueled a relentless pursuit of excellence and service.
Today, she is a Family Advocacy Manager and a Published Author. Trameka holds a BA in Sociology, a BA in Criminology, and an MSCJ in Corrections. Supplemented by a Trauma-Informed Care Micro-Credential.
